How To Differentiate Between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0

Web 2.0 vs Web 3.0

In this post, we will be learning about the differences between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. But before that, let's refresh our brains with the definitions of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.

Web 2.0 came 10 years after the discovery and introduction of web 1.0 by Tim Berners-Lee. Web 2.0 is the internet that we know of it today. It features the growth of social media, marketplaces, and self-service platforms.

Web 3.0 is an idea for a new version of the internet in which apps and websites use a new kind of decentralized database called the blockchain. The idea is to create a decentralized web where users can transport data from servers to servers without any hindrance from the big corporate middlemen. That is, intermediaries in the process chain are avoided.

To be updated!
