Web 2.0 came 10 years after the discovery and introduction of web 1.0 by Tim Berners-Lee. Web 2.0 is the internet that we know of it today. It features the growth of social media, marketplaces, and self-service platforms.
Web 3.0 is an idea for a new version of the internet in which apps and websites use a new kind of decentralized database called the blockchain. The idea is to create a decentralized web where users can transport data from servers to servers without any hindrance from the big corporate middlemen. That is, intermediaries in the process chain are avoided.

I know this sounds crazy but it's true. Big tech companies such as Blockgames, Nestcoin and ZuriTeam are already investing in this technology and they have assembled teams and are still training others to advance from web 2.0 to web 3.0.
