Jeff Bezos has overtaken Bill gates as the number one man in the Forbes rankings of Richest men in the world. The Founder of the Amazon Internet Store is now the world's richest man.
The richest person in the world is Amazon Jeff Bezos, the founder of the online store. He replaced the Microsoft Software founder Bill Gates. On Thursday, the CNBC Financial TV server reported it. This is based on calculations derived from the Amazon's stock price rises, according to which Bezos's asset value exceeded $90 billion (two trillion crowns).
The 35-year-old Bezos owns about 17 percent of Amazon shares. Starting from the beginning of the year to the Wednesday closing on the New York Stock Exchange, their price rose by about 40 percent. Quarterly trading then started to grow. Microsoft's shares, on the other hand, weakened after trading began, bringing Gates' assets to around $89 billion.
Bloomberg notes that at the beginning of this year, Bezos was the fourth richest man in the world.
Amazon is the largest online store in the world. The company launched an online sale in 1995 and originally offered books. It entered the stock market in 1997 with a price of $18 per share. At present, the cost of its shares exceeds $1,000, and by 2000 the company has executed three times the stock split.
