The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 31 fixtures took place yesterday at different centres nationwide, except for the encounter between MFM FC and Katsina United that was rescheduled to Monday, 24th July, 2017 by 8:00AM. It has ended some minutes ago in favour of MFM FC.
This year's golden boot favourite, Stephen Odey gave MFM FC the opening goal in the fifteenth (15') minutes of play with an assist coming from Sikiru Olatunbosun. This is his 18th goal of the season.
Sikiru Olatunbosun doubled the lead in the 29', assisted by Stephen Odey. Katsina United got their first and second goals in the 69' and 78' respectively through free kicks. The first scored by Destiny Ashadi and the second by Obinna Eleje.
Chukwuka Onuwa put MFM FC back in front inside one minute after Eleje's goals by scoring from Okorom's pass. The match ended 3 - 2 in favour of the home team.
