It is no more news that the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has ordered rerun in 18 of the 31 local government areas of the state.

But what should be considered is the strength of the parties involved in those Local Government Areas.
The incumbent governor, Udom Emmanuel is from the People Democratic Party while his opponent is an All Progressive Congress faithful that do not want to succumbed to defeat.
Meanwhile, the rerun election in the 18 local government areas will produce only one Victor which is probably going to be the present governor from PDP. This is because those Local Government Areas are core PDP communities.
The local government areas for the rerun election are Onna (Udom's LGA of origin), Eket, Uyo, Nsit Atai, Ibiono Ibom, etc.
